Let Us Help You Become an American Citizen

Under American law, if you have been a lawful permanent resident (with a green card) for at least five years, you can apply to go through the naturalization process and become a citizen. Once you have been naturalized as a citizen, you cannot be subject to deportation or removal, even if you are charged with a crime. In addition, as an American citizen, you can:

  • Travel internationally under a U.S. passport
  • Apply for a green card for relatives
  • Be eligible for benefits through the federal government
  • Work within the federal government
  • Vote in federal elections
  • Run for federal office

As an American citizen, your children will also automatically become American citizens, even if they are born abroad.
