Jamal Jbara

Mr. Jbara earned his law degree from Rutgers School of Law in Newark, New Jersey, receiving prestigious public service fellowship awards and scholarships from Rutgers’s Arthur Kinoy Fellowship, NYU Law School’s Revson Public Interest Fellowship, and the Puerto Rican Legal Defense and Education Fund.

Mr. Jbara is an advocate at heart who works diligently on behalf of clients. During his tenure with Advocates for Children of New York, Inc., Mr. Jbara was a voice on behalf of schoolchildren with disabilities and disciplinary issues, advocating for fair and proper dispensation of justice and adequate provision of academic and special education services for children. As project director for AFC’s Parent Training Program he conducted advocacy training sessions in English and Spanish for parents throughout New York City’s five boroughs. He served as Citizenship Project Director for CAMBA, Inc., one of the largest community- based organizations in the borough of Brooklyn. Through funding from New York State’s Bureau of Refugee and Immigrant Assistance, Mr. Jbara also provided legal assistance on complex naturalization issues to immigrants from throughout New York City.

Mr. Jbara is a devoted family man who enjoys spending his free time with his family and children.
Mr. Jbara is a member in good standing with New York State Supreme Court’s Appellate Division (3rd Dept.), American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), and New York State’s Defenders Association. He is licensed to practice immigration law in all states and territories of the United States.
